An Overview of Rapid Exhibitions software

Rapid Exhibitions was created in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Arts in London. It was carefully designed to follow the procedures they had developed to manage their temporary and travelling exhibitions.

The Rapid solution was first discussed in the winter of 1996, and the system was installed in 1997. Since that time it has been used for all of the Royal Academy's exhibitions, including:

Monet in the 20th Century
1900: Art at the Crossroads
Boticelli's Drawings for the Divine Comedy
From Ingres to Matisse
Aztecs

Rapid Exhibitions has been designed specifically to help organise temporary and travelling exhibitions. It covers the entire process from co-ordinating the initial loan requests, through the collation of works and installation schedules, to the production of catalogues.

Rapid tracks every exhibit, keeps account of insurance values, and monitors the status of your exhibition. Every user has up-to-date information at their fingertips, with reports to tell them who to chase and when.

Information stored within the system is available in many different formats. Each report you need is easily accessible, and the close integration with word processors means that it is easy to generate the correspondence required.
